In Canada

Made it to another country. I flew out of Frankfurt, Germany via Helsinki to Toronto, Canada. Stayed with Denise and the girls then traveled to Ridgetown, Ontario then back north to Elora. I am going to a farm Expo which is part of the Guelph University Research farm.
Lots of Maize and soybeans in the area. Weather warm and humid. Wheat harvest starting.

  1. Hi Dave,

Your in a great part of the world now, really enjoyed this area when I was there a decade ago. Great people always keen to share info and shower you with hospitality. Fantastic season here now, another 30 - 60 mm across Harden this week! Yield potential really climbing now - starting to think about 5.0 t/ha again.

Dave todays issue is applying foliar / liquid fertilisers. Growing trend to be applying foliar trace elements, particularly on Canola at late rosette stage, also applying UAN and other urea based solutions - do they stream them on or flat fan, any info would be good - more for long term so don't feel you have to reply immediately.

Thanks for the quick reply last time. Anyway safe travels - and enjoy the journey!

    Regards, Tim.
